In Europe the temperature that must be used ranges between 80 to about 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

The main difference between the cold pressed olive oil and other traditional heavily refined varieties of the olive oil is that the cold pressed oil does not equal cool temperature. However, it rather refers to the degree of low heat. With these normal types of oil there is the use of high heat methods. A lot of people believe that these organic oils are much better than the normal ones. One of such is that the flavour that comes out is much superior to the normal cooking oil.

Another advantage of these organic oils is the fact that because they are produced under low temperature, the healthy nutrients that are inherent in them are maintained. With the normal oil, the intense heat normally strips away all the nutrients that are needed for effective body development. This is especially the case for cooking lard or margarine commonly consumed by people.

They also come in a number of varieties depending however on the use that they are meant for. These include the sesame seed, grape seed and the extra virgin olive oil. A lot of people go to lengths as to experiment with some of these varieties in order to get the maximum benefits out of each of them.
